About the Role

You will be the growth video marketer working across B2B accounts. Your mandate will be to manage video production for 3 core customers from prep to post-production.

This is a contract position with the ability to become full-time. 

The ideal candidate: 

  • Is timely, responsive and organized.
  • Is fluent in the language of designers, writers, and video editors and capable of providing pointed feedback on deliverables on Slack and in meetings. 
  • Has a good sense of “taste” and a strong cringe detector. 
  • Has a good instinct of how people consume and react to short-form social media, search, and newsletter content. 
  • Has an opinion of what B2B content looks like today and is able to counterposition our content to stand apart 
  • Is familiar with developing pillar content and repurposing content across channels.
  • Loves moving quickly. We deliver assets in hours and days, not weeks.
  • Is very detail oriented and preemptively correct nits before deliverables are sent to the client for review. 
  • Has experience running your own newsletter, podcast, YouTube or other social media.
  • Has worked in a B2B startup context in the past and understands terminology like pipeline, impressions, leads, and MQLs.
  • Uses Claude, ChatGPT, and other LLMs on a daily basis. 

Nice to have: 

  • Strong written communicator with impeccable word choice and sentence structure.
  • Has worked with contractors on Upwork in the past. 
  • Past video editing experience. Comfortable with Descript (or willing to self-learn).
  • Comfortable with color correction

We are a service business. Our founding team has roots in the hospitality industry and we love hard workers looking for a change. Please indicate if you have worked in restaurants, cafes, or bars. 

What You Will Do and Own

  • Manage a pipeline of short-form video content end to end, from concept to final deliverable. 
    • Provide feedback to our video editors and animators. 
    • Project manage the video clip editing process, ensuring that a first draft is done within 2 business days of recording 
    • Provide feedback to video editors on layout, style, and timing
    • QA clips before they go live, making sure all the details are perfect (e.g. double checking captions, cutting out uninteresting silences, watching the video on mobile, without audio and more)
  • Using sales transcripts and other insights, prepare podcast prep questions for biweekly podcast interviews with CEOs. 
  • Develop opinions on our current content production system. Work to improve it and make it your own 
  • Use our bespoke LLM tooling to enhance your work and give feedback to our engineers.
  • Dive deep into customer use cases and understand the business goals for each of our clients.
  • Get exposure to how startup CEOs and GTM teams are thinking about marketing on the cutting edge 

What Does Success Look Like?

You will be evaluated on: 

  • Metrics: 
    • Average number of impressions and engagements (likes/comments/reposts) per video
    • Total number of sales inbounds in aggregate 
    • Qualitative feedback from customers 
  • Performance bonus:
    • Number of posts that get selected by the LinkedIn editorial team to show up on feed 
  • Speed, quality of work
    • SLA for videos should be as close to 24 hours from recording as possible 
  • Team adjusted gross income targets
    • Team bonus whenever we hit growth goals for our company
